  1. Caesar's Camp.
  2.  Enter a SENTRY and his COMPANY; ENOBARBUS follows.
  3.  
  4. Sentry    If we be not relieved within this hour,
  5.     We must return to th' court of guard. The night
  6.     Is shiny, and they say we shall embattle
  7.     By the second hour i'th' morn.
  8.  
  9. 1st Watch                                This last day was
  10.     A shrewd one to's.
  11.  
  12. Enobarbus                        O bear me witness, night-
  13.  
  14. 2nd Watch    What man is this?
  15.  
  16. 1st Watch                            Stand close, and list him.
  17.  
  18. Enobarbus    Be witness to me, O thou blessd moon,
  19.     When men revolted shall upon record
  20.     Bear hateful memory, poor Enobarbus did
  21.     Before thy face repent.
  22.  
  23. Sentry                            Enobarbus?
  24.  
  25. 2nd Watch                                        Peace!
  26.     Hark farther.
  27.  
  28. Enobarbus    O sovereign mistress of true melancholy,
  29.     The poisonous damp of night disponge upon me,
  30.     That life, a very rebel to my will,
  31.     May hang no longer on me. Throw my heart
  32.     Against the flint and hardness of my fault,
  33.     Which, being dried with grief, will break to powder,
  34.     And finish all foul thoughts. O Antony,
  35.     Nobler than my revolt is infamous,
  36.     Forgive me in thine own particular,
  37.     But let the world rank me in register
  38.     A master-leaver and a fugitive!
  39.     O Antony! O Antony!
  40.                                                     [Dies.
  41. 1st Watch                            Let's speak to him.
  42.  
  43. Sentry    Let's hear him, for the things he speaks
  44.     May concern Caesar.
  45.  
  46. 2nd Watch                        Let's do so. - But he sleeps.
  47.  
  48. Sentry    Swoons rather; for so bad a prayer as his
  49.     Was never yet for sleep.
  50.  
  51. 1st Watch                                Go we to him.
  52.  
  53. 2nd Watch    Awake, sir, awake! Speak to us.
  54.  
  55. 1st Watch                                        Hear you, sir?
  56.  
  57. Sentry    The hand of death hath raught him.
  58.                                                     [Drums afar off.
  59.                                         Hark, the drums
  60.     Demurely wake the sleepers. Let us bear him
  61.     To th' court of guard: he is of note. Our hour
  62.     Is fully out.
  63.  
  64. 2nd Watch    Come on then. He may recover yet.
  65.                                                     [Exeunt with the body.
